- Valid ATAS certificate if the specific course and nationality require it
- Students who are under 18 need proof of parental or other legal guardian consent
- Proof of relationship to the parent or guardian for students under 18
- Tuberculosis test results
- Written consent needs to be provided from the financial sponsor if a student has received sponsorship for their course fees and living costs in the last 12 months

Child Student Visa
To be eligible for this visa:
- Applicants should be aged between 4 and 17 years
- Should have an unconditional offer for studying a course at an Independent school
- Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) should be provided by the sponsor
- Maintenance requirements should be met
- Relevant English language requirements should be met
- Relevant consent from the parents
General Student Visa
To be eligible for this visa:
- All international students who are aged 16 or over can apply
- Have an offer to study on a course by a licensed student sponsor
- Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) should be provided by the sponsor
- Maintenance requirements should be met
- Relevant English language requirements should be met
- Relevant consent from the parents if a student is 16 or 17 years old
Short-Term Student Visa
To be eligible for this visa:
- English language course the student wishes to study should be with a course provider at an accredited institution
- Adequate maintenance and accommodation requirement should be met
- Should have sufficient funds for covering the costs of returning home
- Relevant consent from the parents if a student is 16 or 17 years old
This visa is granted for 11 months and restricts a student to only study on the course for which the permission is granted.
Graduate Visa
To be eligible for this visa:
- The applicant has been in the UK for the entirety of the course if the course is 12 months
- The applicant has been in the UK for the final 12 months of the course if it is more than 12 months
Undergraduates and postgraduates applying for this visa are eligible to remain in the UK for up to two years whereas Ph.D. students are eligible to remain in the UK for up to three years.
